This is our very own daylily called Carol Bender. Carol Bender has been a volunteer of the gardens since the very beginning. She stayed on as coordinator until fall of 2020. Carol is still very active on the board of the Friends of the Beausejour Daylily Gardens.
Brian Culver is the hybridizer of this beauty. It was registered in 2024. It is 33" height, 6" bloom, season MLA, Dormant, Tetraploid, 15 buds, 3 branches. Crimson with a large, lighter watermark above a yellow to vivid green throat with ruffled edge.
Come to the Daylily Gardens to enjoy a picnic lunch or play a game of checkers
We have a very impressive collection of Daylilies, lilies, irises, peonies, ornamental trees and shrubs. Come visit us in May to see the tulips, daffodils, irises, and cherry blossoms, June to see the Peonies and tall bearded Irises and ornamental trees for their blossoms, July for the Lilies, Daylilies, Spuria Iris, August for the Daylily show.
